I am primarily interested in the interplay between different traits and factors which results in meaningful outcomes. Nothing exists in a vacuum, and in human behavior, this is especially true. Psychiatric conditions and dispositional traits are shaped by and connected to every experience a person has, in addition to their biological inheritance. I am especially focused on the study of protective factors and resilience, that which prevents negative outcomes (such as psychopathology) from occurring.
With regards to specific topics of study, I have worked on research into religiosity, ADHD, parenting, personality, resilience to internalizing symptoms, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, substance use, and methods development.
