Research Interests
Brain Development and Suicide Behaviors
Research Description
Not everyone with thoughts of suicide go on to carry out an attempt, and it is unclear whether there are differences in the brain between these individuals. However, finding any differences in the brain may increase our understanding of the development of suicide behaviors. I’m currently interested in using brain scans from children and young adolescents to compare brain development in individuals who go on to make a suicide attempt from those who do not.
