OpenMx Master Class – Nov. 14-16, 2024

The first OpenMx Master Class is aimed to improve the skills of individuals who are already familiar with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and want to improve their understanding and capability to specify and fit advanced SEMs. We will also cover the OpenMx philosophy and how it differs from other SEM programs in terms of fit functions, expectation functions, multiple groups, definition variables, constraints, confidence intervals, standard errors, bootstrapping, compute plans, and simulations.

Network Psychometrics Workshop – June 18-20, 2019

The workshop starts with a conceptual introduction on why items in psychological data tend to co-occur, and what this implies about the constructs such as mental disorders, cognitive abilities, personality, and attitudes. This is followed by an introduction to social and psychological network models; an overview of the network literature in psychopathology (the field where network psychometric models have been used most over the last years); and a summary of important topics (centrality, comorbidity, early warning signals).

Advanced Genetic Epidemiology Statistical Workshop – Oct. 23-27, 2017

The Advanced Genetic Epidemiology Statistical Workshop (AGES) is designed to provide an overview of advanced statistical methodology for genetic studies of substance use and abuse phenotypes. It covers analytical methods for genetic epidemiological and genomic/genotype-based studies, multivariate, longitudinal and causal modeling, statistical & optimization issues and related topics. The focus is on a hands-on approach, in which participants use their own computers to implement and experiment with statistical methods described during presentations by the faculty.
