Research Description

Discovery of genetic variants involved in complex human traits or diseases. Examine relationships between genetic variants and complex genetic systems. Apply statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and computational genomic tools to achieve these goals.

Genome-Wide Association Analysis (GWAS)

Statistical genetic analysis and bioinformatic support for molecular genetics studies of complex disorders and traits including:

  • Psychiatric – Schizophrenia, Alcoholism, Depression, Nicotine Dependence
  • Respiratory- Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD)
  • Model based data integration and target gene ranking method development
