Research Description
My work focuses on identifying genes with rare variant associations with developmental disorders. One major project has focused on applying two-trait Bayesian integrative analysis to de novo mutations identified from publicly available autism spectrum disorder, pervasive developmental disorders, intellectual disability, congenital heart disease and schizophrenia case trios, both to increase statistical power for gene discovery as well as to identify shared risk genes, pathways and mechanisms. I am also currently studying rare variants associations with developmental phenotypes in large cohorts with linked EHR data, such as the All of Us Research Program or the UK Biobank.
